Work out the job. Know what to buy.
Clad is a construction calculator for feet, inches and fractions, with stairs, rafters, cut lists and shopping lists. Made for carpenters, framers, roofers and electricians in the US and Canada.
Try it free for 7 days, then pay once or by the month. Everything stays on your phone.

Add it the way you say it.
Type feet, inches and fractions as you read them off the tape. Clad adds them exactly, rounds once, and tells you how.
10 ft 3 1/2 in + 4 ft 9 3/8 in= 15 ft 0 7/8 in
Every result names its rounding, so a number never changes without you seeing it. Hold the in key for millimetres, centimetres and metres.
Tools that save material and time.
Clad is the calculator and the tools for the work itself, in one app.
Stairs, rafters and roofs
Risers, treads, stringers, common, hip, valley and jack rafters, roof squares and shingle bundles.
A cut list that finds the boards to buy
Your cuts and the saw kerf, laid out on as few boards as it can, with the boards drawn.
A shopping list per job
Concrete bags, studs, drywall, decking and more, added up with the cost.
Jobs your customer can read
A customer, status, notes and photo for each job, printed as a PDF with your details and theirs.
Layout, crown, conduit and more
On-centre marks, balusters, crown molding angles, conduit bends, plan scale and a pitch gauge.
The calculator, the tape and every export
Every sum is kept on the tape. Area and volume, a square check, a unit converter, and CSV, PDF and text exports.
See what it does.
The shopping list and the printout come from the same numbers you worked out.

Questions
When is it out?
Soon, on the iPhone. Write to support@rhinecom.com and I will tell you the day it is in the App Store.
What does it cost?
You can try everything free for 7 days. After that Clad is paid, once or by the month, and the prices are shown in the App Store. The tools need it; the calculator is always free, and what you saved stays readable and exportable either way.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Clad makes no network connection of its own, so it works the same in a basement or on a roof.
Which units does it use?
Feet, inches and fractions by default. You can see results in millimetres, centimetres or metres, and switch above the display.
Does it check building codes?
No. Clad works out the numbers you type. You are still the one who checks measurements and follows your local building rules.
What if I stop paying for the monthly plan?
The tools lock again; the calculator stays free. Everything you saved stays on your phone and can still be read, shared and exported.
Android?
Not for now. Clad is for the iPhone.
