Terms of use
Last updated 29 October 2026. A draft until the publisher has reviewed it, in particular the paragraphs about the monthly plan.
Using Clad
Clad works out the numbers you type. It is a tool: the person who cuts the material is responsible for checking measurements and for following local building rules. Clad gives no advice on codes.
The app is provided as it is, without a promise that it is free of errors.
Pro
Clad is used with Pro: the tools, jobs and shopping lists. The calculator and its tape are always free. It is sold two ways, both through your Apple account: once, for good, or as a monthly subscription. Without Pro the tools are locked, though you can still look at them; what you saved stays on your phone and can still be read, shared and exported.
The monthly plan
- The price is shown in the App Store and in the app before you buy. It is charged to your Apple account.
- The first purchase can start with 7 free days, once per Apple account. If you do not cancel before the free days end, the monthly price is charged.
- The plan renews every month until you cancel it. You cancel in your Apple account settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions) at least a day before the renewal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on until the period you paid for ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules.
- When the plan ends, the tools lock again and the calculator stays free. Everything you saved stays on your phone and can still be read, shared and exported.
The one-time purchase is paid once and covers Pro for good on every phone signed in to your Apple account, including through Family Sharing. Restore purchases brings it back on a new phone.
Apple's terms for in-app purchases and subscriptions apply to all purchases.
